Ok so first things first, how is himalayan salt so different from regular salt, other than being a nice pretty pink colour? Well, himalayan salt contains the same 84 trace minerals and elements found in the human body in comparison to your regular table salt which is stripped of all minerals besides sodium and chloride, so already that is impressive. But its true value comes from the medicinal benefits you can gain by including this in your morning or night time routine.
A host of problems including joint pain, arthritis, psoriasis and insomnia can all be treated with himalayan salt.
For psoriasis – a handful of himalayan salt in the bath every night for a week to see visible improvement.
For joint pain and arthritis – half a teaspoon in a glass of water straight away on a morning. Liam suggested this to his mum who was suffering with arthritis and was needing to use a stick. After 20 days she noticed a huge improvement and now maintains this dose.
For insomnia – 5 tablespoons of organic cane sugar, 1 Tablespoon sucanat/rapadura (this is completely unrefined sugar cane juice, with all minerals intact) and 2 teaspoons of himalayan salt.
